About me
I’ve always believed in working hard and taking pride in what I achieve.
My journey didn’t follow the conventional path. I left school early, eager to get into the real world and start building something of my own. At 18, driven by determination and a sense of adventure, I placed an advert in Lady magazine and landed a job in Miami. I packed my bags, left the UK, and never looked back — at least, not right away.
Miami gave me a taste of independence and ambition, but life had other plans. I returned to the UK after meeting my (still!) husband, and shifted gears into a career in sales. It was challenging, competitive, and fast-paced — and it taught me two things that would shape everything I’ve done since: resilience and the importance of great customer care.
For the past 20 years, I’ve run three businesses in the service and retail industries. Being self-employed has given me a front-row seat to the highs and lows of entrepreneurship — the late nights, the problem-solving, the creative breakthroughs, and the sheer joy of watching something you built thrive. I know what it takes to keep going when things are tough, and how rewarding it is when things go right.
Everything I do today is built on that foundation: hard work, determination, and a deep understanding of what it means to build something you're truly proud of.
Personal life
It’s a bit of a cliché, but one I live by: work hard, play hard. Life’s too short not to throw yourself into the things you love—and I’ve got a few loves that truly define me.
Music is my heartbeat. From the anthemic rock of Muse to the feel-good vibes of Mamma Mia! (and just about anything 80s), I’m always chasing the next concert, festival, or show. If there’s a beat and a stage, I’m probably there.
Then there’s my deep love for animals. Whether it’s a dog, cat, wild creature—or even a worm on the path—I’ll always stop to help. I believe every life has value, no matter how small.
Scuba diving is my newest obsession. I took it up at 52, and it's been nothing short of life-changing. The underwater world is calm, mesmerizing, and full of wonder—a perfect balance to the high-energy life above the surface.
And finally, travel. Exploring different cultures, tasting new foods, and soaking in the unfamiliar has always excited me. Now I get to combine it with diving, seeking out the world's top underwater destinations and ticking off two passions in one trip.
